Peter Pan Warm-Up

Noi is going to be Wendy in her school performance of Peter Pan this weekend.
She has been practicing everyday - we are so excited.
It's not the whole play, just a short version.

Thanksgiving Party

We had our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Party in our home last night - it was wonderful! The children had a blast playing together and holding Gretchen's new baby girl and the adults made delicious food together and brought many dishes as well. We all enjoyed great conversation. Hideto and I felt really blessed that we made the move to Akita and have met such amazing people. HAPPY THANKSGIVING~!!!

Halloween Event in Akita City

Went to a great event in Akita City to celebrate Halloween.
Noi had a blast and Hideto and I enjoyed it too, seeing all the children dressed up.

Noi's Day Excursion

All the children in Noi's grade went for a nature walk and then played at a sports center with their parent(s). It was a fun day.

Tottori Trip

Noi and I went to Tottori to visit where I lived from 1993-1996. It was beautiful to see all my loving friends again and introduce them to Noi. We had a blast! Went to an amazing sand sculpture museum with an Africa Exhibit, a children's park, and to my painting teacher's temple where Noi tried Japanese calligraphy for the first time.

August Summer Holiday

For the last part of summer vacation, we went camping at Lake Tazawa in Akita. It was wonderful. One night Hideto and Noi had a blast playing with their tall shadows in the trees.
