Noi's First Piano Recital and Family Pics

Yesterday was a great day- we celebrated Girl's Day, my birthday (early), our nephew Ryu's b-day, and Noi's piano recital all on the same day. Noi's pretty dress was a birthday present from her classmate. It was such a wonderful day.

Visit to Noi's class - Last 1st grade visit

Noi is almost finished with first grade. One thing that I find interesting about Japanese schools is the students have to stand up to start the class and to end the class and there are always two students picked to lead it. This was funny yesterday, because the students in the front were picking students that was sitting up straight or being attentive and they picked Noi and to me it didn't seem like she was as in the photo posted her, she's playing with her hands- LOL..

Winter Fun~!

We had a great time on a trip to Lake Tazawa (Akita) for skiing/snowboarding and spend the night at a hot spring lodge in a famous area named Kakunodate, where we enjoyed dining at a brewery. Wonderful winter memory~!

Noi's 7th Birthday Party

What a blast~! We invited some girls from Noi's elementary school class. The games were color a T-shirt, as a memory from the party, and a lucky draw and pick a present board, which Hideto and Noi made together. I baked the cake and Noi received so many nice wishes from the Moms that came along too and it was great to sit down with all the Moms and chat.

I feel so lucky to have such a healthy and happy daughter. Her and her friends made me very happy with all their smiles.
